Winning the bledisloe cup

Today we were reading about a old couple who won the bledisloe cup.

Mr Joe and Mrs Fay

Bledisloe cup: a couple who won the bledisloe cup and  started market gardening when they were married in 1957.

they could be called citizen sciencentist because when there was an issue with there plants they came up with good ideas to fix them.

Fay gock and joe gock won the bledisloe cup from there market gardening and they become champions.

broccoli: Joe gock came up with a good idea for the broccoli not to go yellow and limp.

when he put it in the fridge he sprayed it with water and it still went yellow and limp but when he came up with this idea he was surprised.

one day he brought a chilly bin home and filled it up with ice and water then he put the broccoli in and waited till the next day.....

he had a look at the broccoli and it was fresh and clean.

seedless watermelon: Joe and Fay were also the first market gardeners in New Zealand to grow seedless watermelons,and this led to another invention - stickers on fruit were the ones that had seeds in them and there was no way to tell them apart cause they were both the same.

and now everyone buys watermelon from the fruit shop

Many thing are useful to people like cars spew pollutants from there exaust pipes the main thing
that polutes the earth is rubish/rubish has killed sea animals from across the globe and it hasn’t
stoped becasue it’s like people dont care about the world and the rubish that they throw on the floor
travels for as long as it can.

Over 70,000 people die each year from polution.

Gas has been contaminating the world for over millions of years and that’s why people are trying to
make elictricity cars so the animals and other living things stay alive and of course people to.

On Thursday life caravan came to glenbrae for a talk about puberty.

first we talked about the penis a penis is a boys private part of their body and they use it some times for a baby if you don't know to get a baby then i will tell you.

sperm is a mans reproductive cell in their penis to get a girl pregnant/if a girl younger then the that she's with then the man will get in big trouble then will go to court.

The birds are going from  Alaska to NEW ZEALAND. There was a boy named Wilfred and a sister named Doreen. They were eating crabs so they can strengthen  up and they flew of to NEW ZEALAND. There was a thunderstorm and Doreen got shot from the storm and fell down to the sea and then they made it to New Zealand. Wilfred ate some more crabs.The birds are called godwits.
